Daniel Veve

Assistant Coach

Coach 2

Coach Daniel Veve is in his first year as a coach with Westwood, but is no stranger to the game.  He graduated from Antonian College Preparatory High School in San Antonio where he received four straight All-District and All-State Honors on the varsity tennis team.  He placed third in singles at the state tournament two of the four years he went.

After high school, Coach Veve attended Florida State University and received his degree in Biological Sciences with minors in Chemistry and Religious Studies. While at FSU he continued playing tennis, winning both a team intramural championship and a men’s singles intramural championship.

After graduating FSU, Coach Veve moved to Philadelphia to attend Thomas Jefferson Medical College.  After his third year, he realized medical school was not the place he wanted to be, so he left to pursue teaching.  He began his career as an educator at Stony Point High School spending 5 years teaching Chemistry and IB Biology.  This is his second year at Westwood.

Coach Veve and his wife, Kelsey, recently celebrated one year of marriage.  She works at her family’s jewelry store with locations in Bee Cave and Fredericksburg.  They have a 3-year-old dog named Mellee who keeps them pretty busy for now.  Coach Veve is very excited to join the Westwood Tennis family, and is looking forward to sharing his love for the game.
